Apparently I have no life experiences and know NOTHING!

Ok so my daughter is in Utah for spring break and decided to have her beautician of an aunt dye her hair to the color she wanted. Apparently I don't do it right...but that's not the point of this post. I text her to see how her hair turned out, and if she liked it. She replied that it was too blonde and she didn't like it (guess I'm not the only one who can't do it right! Yah me!) Any whoo...she told me that we need to dye it darker when she gets home, to which I responded that it's too damaging and she needs to wait awhile before re-coloring it. Of course she tells me that it's fine to dye it again and nothing will go wrong with her gorgeous hair! Well duh, what did I expect her to say? So the question is this: do I stick to my guns and let her know that no means no or do I let her express herself and possibly learn the hard way?? I would really hate for her to ruin her hair, but it is her hair. Any thoughts, my fellow bloggers?

Did I sign up for this?

I had my daughter at the ripe ol' age of 20. Now I'm 35 and woke up to discover my daughter is suddenly 14 years old!! How did this happen? I'm pretty sure I didn't sign up for this. They should really give you some forms at the hospital that warn you about the teen stage. I wasn't ready for it, that much is certain.

I decided to start this blog so that I can hear your stories about raising a teenager. Surely I am not alone when I say that I'm constantly confused and always frustrated. Teens should really come with a manual. I will be sharing my stories here and would like any advice or comments you have.

Happy blogging!
